Our history
Born in Saigon, Ngoc Suong Dang spent her childhood in Cambodia and Vietnam, before attending university in Brussels, Belgium and receiving her bachelor’s degree in computer science at Institut d’Enseignement de Promotion Sociale Communaute Francaise.
Truly enamored with fashion from an early age, Suong decided to pursue her real passion and obtained her bachelor’s degree in fashion design at Institut Superieur d’Architecture ‘Saint-Luc’ de Bruxelles in 2008. After graduating, she designed and developed an original collection of women’s clothing; and organized an exhibition and ‘catwalk’ at Kartel in Brussels, Belgium (in 2008) and the Belgium Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia (in 2012).
When Suong returned to Vietnam in 2010 after graduating from design school in Belgium, she wanted to work for big companies and learn as much as she could about the blossoming fashion and apparel business. Initially Suong worked for Delvaux, a luxury handbag manufacture, to help them transition their manufacturing from Belgium to Vietnam. After, she was the Creative Director for H&M.
Suong learned a lot in those formulative years, and eventually felt confident to create her own company, Source by Suong. As a design, product development and manufacturing company, Source by Suong specializes in sourcing fashion and apparel for women and children; including casual wear, resort wear, swim wear, pajamas, handbags and hats. For over 12 years, Source by Suong has been manufacturing and exporting fashion and apparel for established and well-known brands throughout Europe, the United States and Asia.
After hundreds of projects, and customers, and trade shows, Suong decided to focus all of her energy and ideas on creating her own brand, Forever Young. She wanted to create a high-end fashion brand dedicated to making children’s clothing with selected fabrics and materials, tailored cutting, and an attention to detail that reveals the spirit of her craft.
Her goal has always been to imbue a youthful exuberance in her clothing that is measured and reflected by the young girls who wear her designs. Does she feel special and important? Does she feel confident and beautiful? Does Forever Young represent her style and personality? Do the clothes make her happy?
In February of 2020, Suong debuted Forever Young at the Children’s Club fashion show in New York. With showrooms in New York, Boston, Atlanta and Dallas; and over 100 retailers across the United States that sell the Forever Young brand, Forever Young is now looking to Europe and Asia.
